• Description: In 2000, Noel had the honor of collaborating personally with legendary minimalist designers Massimo and Leila Vignelli on the redesign of Carolee.com. Tasked with ensuring that Noel's designs for Carolee's online brand met their high standards, the Vignellis were generous with their time, providing extensive input and detailed feedback on design comps - including a memorable series in-person design sessions with Leila at Noel's desk - Leila, drilling Noel on the fine points of grid-based layouts - Noel, testing out Leila's ideas in Photoshop and explaining Browser bugs and why form elements were so ugly on PCs... In the end, the design we ultimately settled on was indeed elegant, minimal, grid-based - and is still one of Noel's favorites.
